Regarded as the toughest street race in the world, The tight natured streets around Wellington provided some great street racing. Proposed for 1984 the race first took place a year later. Dubbed the Nissan Cue 500 was later changed to Nissan Sport 500 after Cue magazine collapsed prior to the race. A new sponcer was found for 1986 and the race was forever known as the Nissan Mobil 500.
The race ended in 1994 and was revived for 1996 on a new layout for the V8 Supercars.
15 Years since the last Wellington Street race, ive taken up the challenge to build it for rFactor and forever immortalise the race.
Three variants will be released
V1a = 1996 layout - with 2011 Buildings
V1b = 1993/94 layout - reverse version of 1996
V2a = 1987-90 layout - Used for the 1987 WTCC
V2b = 1991-92 layout - change in Jervois Quay
and V3 = 1985/86 layout - With 1986 signage
