The first version of Sopronring was released in June 2014. Now we have created another version of this track for formula cars. The racing line has been corrected, and there are lower walls, no fences along the road surface and affects probably more excitement from a cockpit of a formula car.

Note: recommend removing any other versions of Sopronring

ISI's AIW editor and Bob's Track Builder both do a good job of setting the up the racing line, but if you want to make changes, e.g. darken it in a braking zone or have a sudden, brief change, those automatic tools won't be able to help.

I've just tried the new version & it is a great improvement (though I had to download the full version from the site in my last post, as the download on this page still does not contain the .AIW, .GDB or .TDF files, if any one wants them email me @ lockinvar@sky.com). The lowered wall gives the track a more open feel & the improved AI racing line has greatly improved the AI lap times making them about 15secs faster per lap with the car mod I am using & the corrected .AIW settings I use (as most track makers mistakenly think that as the AI strength goes from 80% - 120%, then the worst, mid & best adjust should be set at 0.8, 1.0 & 1.2, which is logical, but should be set to 0.8, 0.9 & 1.0, as 1.0 gives the AI a car equivalent to a stage 1 engine & 0.9 gives them an engine equivalent to the players starting engine( though the AI car will be able to accelerate slightly faster & reach their top speed on the flat, the only way the player will reach top speed is when in a tow or on a long downhill. this is for the car I am using atm others will be different.)

the main thing that needs fixing is the AI pit entry, as instead of driving straight to enter the pit lane, they turn sharp right, through the wall then left through the wall again, across the track through the pit wall entering the pits on the wrong side of the bollards. This won't really affect me as I only use 30min races, but anyone wanting to do longer races, could face problems if they're close behind an AI.

I have the same issue, no .AIW, .GDB, or .TDF files. Downloaded it twice, once with rFactor Client, once manual.

In my download, the files are there, so retry to download the track again.

The pit lane exit is something to be looked at. The AI car drove straight through a wall.
