Description (Click to toggle Visibility)

Hi and welcome to the Hume Weir.

The circuit was built in a disused quarry left over from the construction of the Hume Weir which had taken place between 1919 and 1931.
The opening race meeting was held on 2 November 1959. Originally 1.28 km in length, the track was extended to 1.6 km in 1960.

Peter Brock took part in his second race weekend at the Hume Weir on 26 December 1967. Driving the Austin A30.

Hope you enjoy it.

I don't see much green surrounding the track.

Well done on releasing this great track,I was lucky enough to test Superbikes on it just before it got dozed.

Great to see this iconic little track recreated. The track itself is only 8 miles from where I live and is sadly in disrepair after having bulldozers run through the track every 100 metres to stop the illegal racing that was taking place of a Saturday night long after the track had been abandoned. Sadly while the track layout is still visable it will never be run again. The land has been sold off and it is now deemed to dangerous to run cars as it backs on to the dam wall which has already had it's share of cracks and leaks and it's thought that the vibrations from race cars could further worsen the problem. Thanks for making it happen.

Great stuff legends - a track my father marshaled at back in the day. He'll have fond memories when I run him around it.

Gday legends',
Great to see you not only publishing tracks back here at rFc again lately (where more folks are bound to find your great work) but some classic Aussie stuff too!
I look forward to seeing what you have for everyone next mate ;-)
All the best,

I like this nice track and its special atmosphere.
Specially funny whith little cars; the real difficulty in this case
is to have enough power to throw out the car from the gravel of the pits.
Thanks again.

This track was situated at Albury, on the NSW/VIC border, Australia. Unfortunately sold off in the seventies and now long gone
