I agree with TrojanHertz, this is crap compared to 2.1 version and can't really see any point in doing the modern cars, it just spoils the whole idea of the mod to me.

I've been working on some tweeks for the HotHatch mod
these will work with either version of the HotHatch mod, as I'm running the updated version, but if you altered any of the following files in the update let me know so I can address it. In all the rar file is 900Kb, so if you or anyone wishes to try it contact me lockinvar@sky.com . It can be installed in the same way as you would install any mod, just allow overwrite. If you like what I've done & wish to include it in a future update, then by all means do so, if not could you give me permission to upload it on to the site.

in the .hdv file I've had to lower the centre of gravity of the cars by 0.1 (as too many AI cars were rolling over on corners at a lot of tracks, this is not the fault of the HotHatch mod, but the AI parameters of the tracks, as some other car mods I've tried on the same tracks do the same, even McClaran F1 sports were rolling over).

in the gear.ini files I've given the final drive closer ratio's (with the Sierra & Cossie having such a high ratio first gear, I was having to slip the clutch on hairpins or tight corners to keep the revs up, otherwise the acceleration out of the corner would be abyssmal). It also helps players select the best gear setting for different tracks, especially on high speed tracks like 67 Spa.

in the Upgrades file I've put a price on all the cars & some upgrades, the engine upgrades are expensive to discourage the use of the more powerful engines when racing against AI's. You can always revert back to the original if you prefer that, though the cars will still have a price, so remeber to add starting money in the rfm.

All the Lancia colours & any extra colours for other cars(these are denoted by the addition of an S or SE to the description). these are available to AI's & the Player & can be selected from the vehicle screen.

I've added extra cars to each make, all having at least 20 cars, to accomodate any player that wish to run single make races. all cars now have their own individual driver along with talent files consisting of Pro & ProAm drivers, I've tried to vary their skill ratings & think I have managed to improve their race starts, by adding tweeks to the talent files. The higher the Class then there will be more Pro drivers, so as you progress the competion should get harder.
DriversDir=Gamedata\Talent\HotHatch\
would need to be added in the ConfigOverrides section in any HotHatch rfm for these to work.

I am now working on making a street racing series for the mod & have split the cars into 4 classes, so you are not having to battle past much slower cars after a few laps, as AI's ignore blue flags & hold the racing line, holding up faster cars.
Class A:- escort 1.6i, XR2, Golf mk1 & Ren11
Class B:- RSturbo, Ren 5, VW Corrado & Type R04
Class C:- Lancia, Cossie, CRX, 205 & Golf mk2
Class D:- Sierra (this is the only car that uses race tyres so has to be in its own Class)
these were selected using AI lap times from the Lienz GP long track which has a good variety of corners & a fast section (I was suprised that the Type R wasn't in class C). I have made 5 rfm files, one where you start in class A & work though to Class D & one for each individual Class. in each you start with enough money to buy one of two cars & the entry fee for the first season, each consisting of 4 seasons, far east, America, Europe & marathons, (consisting of 4 tracks of over 10Km & is an all class season which can be entered at any time, though you won't make much money using a Class A car) this is a 3Kb rar file.

I've tried to make each track in the seasons fair, challenging & consistent & have finished the Far East & marathon seasons this is a 3Mb rar file. So I could do with feedback, on if the settings need further adjusting. These settings were done using Class A cars, so hopefully they should be ok for all Classes & other car mods. I am still working on getting the settings correct on the America & Europe seasons.

It always annoyed me that at one track I would win by miles up to over a lap ahead of the AI's, at another be able to pass an AI on a corner only to have them zoom back past on the next straight then at another just watch the AI's disappear into the distance.

So by altering settings in the aiw & gdb I hope to make each track fair, challenging, consistent & balanced & adjust any minor car/garage errors I can.

In the aiw I adjusted the fueluse setting if needed to make the Fuel/lap ratio more correct, so you can put enough fuel in for qualifying & the race (my corrections are normally within 3 laps of race distance).

set the worst adjust to 0.8 (rf default), set mid adjust to 0.9 (rf default), set best adjust to 1.0 (rf default) (while I adjust the grip level for AI drivers using AIDryGrip in the gdb file) then increase it to 1.1 (Which makes the AI's about 6 secs faster per lap in qualifying)

In the gdb I remove any attrition setting as many tracks already have it built in & adjust the garage depth if needed, remove the QualifyDuration & QualifyLaps so these can be controlled from the rfm file.
Add AIDryGrip & increase the setting until the fastest AI in the same car as I use to set the fastest time I can on a test day, is about 3 - 4 secs slower in weekend race qualifying (this allows for the AI's only driving at 90% - 95% of normal season Qualifying pace & allows for the 6 sec faster time when bestadjust is increased to 1.1).
I then do a test race so I can do any fine tuning to the AI grip settings.
As all tracks are different & some track makers already give the AI's extra grip there is not one easy grip setting that will work for all tracks, so is a matter of trial & error.

I could do with feedback on the settings, so if anyone would like to try the street tracks I have done, then contact me lockinvar@sky.com . The tracks I have completed are in Australia, the Far east & some tracks over 10Km, the rar file is 3Mb & contains only the aiw & gdb files, so if you do not already have the tracks you would need to download the original, then overwrite the aiw & gdb, I've made it so you can install in the same way as any mod. These settings were done using cars from the HotHatch mod by Murph, so hopefully should be ok for other car mods.
I am still working on tracks in America & Europe, so will contact anyone who has kindly tested the tracks as they are completed.

Yes this is the 1980s car pack. I think the mod is much improved all round and possibly add 90s car pack in the future.

Only half the original cars present with v3.0, is this finished version with them not included?

Is there a way to change the corrado vr6 brakes to more powerful ones? Great car, my favorite, but it is not braking at all here. I tried to change some settings before the race, but between all the 'hot hatches' i'm having the hardest time trying to brake this one...

Hi everybody! Great mod, but i've got a problem with the VW Corrado, the .MAS error appeared. Anyone know how to solve it?
