Does anyone know how I can contact runs1with1scissors directly? I wish to use the "City Park Road Austin - Burger Run Time Trial Beta 1.00" for a NASA driving experiment. Thanks for your help!

Ok, i tried compressing the gmt and dds files into a mas file format... i noticed that the first load is pretty slow this way, but subsequent load times are a little faster. i'm not sure if it will help with the frame rates, let me know if it's any better. <crosses fingers> I think the shadows from the trees might be slowing down the frame rates a bit? in any case, there should be a 1.1 link available shortly.

I agree with busaman195, the track is well done, but the graphics need to be compiled. I have a fairly high end computer and graphic card. The performance rating of my setup is 7.4. I got a headache during my attempt at running this track. The FPS dropped so bad that it was not enjoyable to run. As I stated, this IS A GOOD TRACK, but it has to be fixed to run properly.

i finally got megacrapload to call on the file for download after trying off and on every chance i had yesterday. man, i wish they would just shut it down.
its a nice track. my only beef with it is the fact that the graphics are not compiled into mas files so there are over 21,000 files loading. i personally have a decent system with a high amount of vram, but many will not be able to load this track very well and it will have terrible fps for them.

Yea, some of these free download sites are better than others.

And just as a reminder, for $25 a year, you can subscribe to our in-house high speed downloads, and that helps support rFC.

for many people, including myself, a file temporarily unavailable message appears and can take huge amounts of page refreshing to finally get to the file.
dont know if it is only free users or not, dont really care. its a lame host....
