9th August 2009 Update:
-To keep you simmers happy, we have made the decision to release the mod in two formats. They will be the 'Standard Edition' and the 'Deluxe Edition'. The Standard Edition will feature the Lancia LC2, WM P82 and Porsche 956. Also included will be the readme file and a Basic Operations Manual. The Deluxe Edition will have the Mazda 787B (1990 & 1991), an Advanced Operations Manual covering all necessary items, and a quick chart for all the vehicle cockpits, so you can understand the positions and functions of the controls. Also, the complete Download Install Chart will be included so you can find all our products. This 'Dual Editions' system has been introduced for those who are wishing to find just the basic game and have fun or wish it to be very realistic. In the former case go for the Standard version. For more serious gamers, go for the Deluxe Edition. Some subtle tweaks are made to the setup which you may like on the Deluxe Edition.

8th September 2009 Update:
-Mazda 787B removed
-SCCA 1981 removed from credits

2 years further... no progress.
I think some WIP's should be ditched by RFC.

any news on the progress of this mod?
Sasuke024 on Jan-14-2012

It appears that MAK-Corp have left it to rest. However, I have a friend who makes mods for XBOX games who I play with, so since I still technically created the GTR2 package, I may as well restart this mod. I WILL NOT LET IT DIE!

This project has been lingering for 3 years now, so I may let my friend create this whilst I sort out all of the information. The GTR2 version is still active!

IS THIS MOD PROJECT CANCELLED?

DO NOT GO ON MMG'S WEBSITE!
LOOKS AS IF IT'S BEEN HACKED. IF BEEN ON, CHECK ANTI-VIRUS!

Hi guys,
I transferred all the work we had at Crismon to Mak-Corp (was MMG) like 18 months ago so I can set up a band. I'm just interested to know whether it is still being worked on. And to LE MANS: The rFactor version is not ready. You must have installed the GTR2 version into it. I suppose you could get it running pretty easily, but we were completely overhauling it so it was ready. Glad to see people still interested.

P.S. It is legal, as it has nothing to do with VirtuaLM. It started out as a project by WizardofOz on NoGrip. I since modified it and got it working for GTR2 properly. By the way, for some reason and I couldn't fix it, the tyres were automatically wet in GTR2. Before you race, change the tyres to the appropriate tread!

Then the mod is illegal.

"Legal" seems to be the $64 question about nearly all mods. I paid someone to generate a 3D model of a Ferrari 333SP, so who really owns it? At the moment I do. Once it gets out to public domain I have no control of it and further any litigation would be a waste of time and money unless it were used for commercial purposes and those purposes generated more revenue then the legal costs to recover compensation.

Thats the bugaboo that all modders have. It kind of reminds me of the Youtube issues; lots of copyrighted stuff was put up there, from copyrighted broadcast videos to copyrighted music as backgrounds. Sure if the legitimate owner complained enough Youtube would do something about it.

I'm not saying its right, just thats the way it is.
