RACE@RFC FAQs

I'll be working on adding FAQS as time allows.

Q: How do I join a race on RACE@RFACTORCENTRAL when ISI's MatchMaker is offline?

Easy! Start rFactor. Go to Connect > Join. When ISI's Matchmaker service is down the list of races is empty. Click the blue '+' icon located across the top of the list and enter the IP address for the RACE@RFC server you'd like to join:

For RACE@RFC-1: 207.179.246.200:34297
For RACE@RFC-2:
207.179.212.221:34297
For RACE@RFC-3: 207.179.212.221:34298

(You can also click on the above links and rFactor will open and join the server)

Q: How do I join a championship on RACE@RFACTORCENTRAL? (when MatchMaker is online - it usually is)

Step 1: Enter your rFactor Player Name in your rFactorCentral user profile
Enter the name that appears across the top of rFactor when you are playing the game into your rFactorCentral profile. It needs to be an exact match including case. Please also indicate your nationality. This binds your results on the server to your profile on rFactorCentral.

Step 2: Download and install cars and tracks running on the server.
Before starting rFactor and trying to join a race you should make sure you've downloaded and installed the cars and tracks running on the server. RACE@RFC always uses the latest version of cars and tracks as available for download from rfactorcentral. Follow the car and track links listed at 'Now On RACE@RFC'.

Step 3. Join the Race in rFactor
With the cars and tracks installed start rFactor. Go to Connect > Join. In the list of servers you'll see several RACE@RFACTORCENTRAL servers listed. Select the one you'd like to race on and then click 'Load Game' in the bottom right corner. If a race is in progress you won't be able to join but otherwise that's all you need to do. The following screen asks you to select your car. After that you're racing!

Q: How do I buy cars? I don't have enough money

Most car mods don't require you to have much cash as the in-game money system isn't used by many players. If you come across a car that you don't have enough money to buy, start a Test Day. In the text chat field type:

ISI_BABYFACTORY

Exit the test day. You'll hear the chink of money - you are now seriously cashed up :)
