RFE plugin Series 1.10

RFE Plugin Series 1.1 has been released!

We would inform that a new version is available. This version allows the use of rF HighVoltage Kers and Drs and fixes the unwanted message of updating the plugin. In addition we have enhanced the weather random option with the chance to constrain the variable conditions to the FIA rules.
The new version 1.1 is available as a“FULL” and an “UPGRADE TO” installation from http://symracing.net/rfeseries/forum

Due to the incredible success declared by users (more than 2,000 downloads in a week), in the next weeks we shall share our plan for the future and we invite you to participate into the forum adding your most wanted feature.

I beg you pardon guys if rarely you read answers here. Notwithstanding rFactorCentral is the best place to find anything related to rFactor, we (RFE) have no time to follow forums other than our one. What I suggest is to read the explanations about RFE features into RFE forum (5 languages available) and in case you need help to post there: http://symracing.net

@ DoktorRotax: the weather environment is really "dynamic". Some coefficients at the moment can only simulate the effects of a live environment... i.e. in case the conditions allow to a drying line, the grip is different depending of the % of wetness between the onpath and the offpath, but these paths are currently prefixed. We are working on future versions that will be more closed to the real life.

Great work! One suggestion, it would be great to add the option 'Wet' in weather condition to the current available Rain, Monsoon, Season and Scripted. Sometimes without the falling rain would be nice.

Besides that, the car mod's team names have been replaced from i.e TeamVodafone to Soft Compound (or etc tyre compound) that the player is running. Could that be fixed too?

This function will be improved in next version
for now, if you go to symracing.net forum, you can find a modified UI that allowed to select weather when you start a race weekend in offline championship mode.

Slomotion & ilo, Thank You for all of your work. I realize that you are entitled to make this plugin not work with what you call "a not licensed legacy copy of rFactor" and that you think it's OK for those of us with the DVD version, to keep our disc in the tray. The truth is, most of us with the DVD version, prefer to Save our Valuable-Disc for future installs, when/if needed & we don't want unnecessary wear and tear of our disc. Is there some way where those of us who do have a legitimate DVD copy, can get a working version of this plugin? Needing to prove that I have the disc is not an issue for me as long as I can run what the others are able to. I would hope this is possible so we are not penalized for buying the DVD version. For what it's worth, I've used my Disc so much that it's already scratched-up to the point of being difficult to get a good install done, even though I tried my best to take good care of it... Thanks.

This is great work - it all works well except for one issue.

In Offline Season the weather doesnt work at all, I have tried using random, also tried with a .wet file, also by adding script to gdb.

But every session in every race is always sunny


The random mode works in quick race just not in season/championship.

Whatever value I put in the rfe config file for championship always gets changed back to 0 when I close rfactor

Thank You again for replay: I solved the problem putting in game the Dvd exe; than I put the 1255 F patch and then I tryed the the game with 1.1 Plugin inserting DVD. The game worked fine, without error message ending session.
At this time I tryed again using my no DVD exe ( same kb size of the original exe ) and game worked fine again. Since previously I reinstalled rFactor several times using the Lite version, I concluded that exe from this version is not good for RFE Plugin.
