Pinevale, in the north-west of England, is a disused WW2 airfield. In 1972 local landowner Rupert Sarringham commissioned the conversion of the derelict site into a race track, having been impressed by a recent visit to Silverstone.
Pinevale covers a smaller area than Silverstone, so the track was made with national and club racing in mind. In the mid 1980s the track fell out of use, but was reopened in 1996 after resurfacing and rebuilding to get the track back up to standard.
[This is a semi-fantasy track based on the layout of the perimeter road of a local airfield. It hasn't really been made into a track, but if it had been...]
I am a little biased, but I've enjoyed racing on this track while testing. In powerful and/or low-grip cars, a driver might run wide in the sweeping penultimate turn, which could set up a good battle down the start/finish straight.

A little help please, can someone tell me what vehicle mod is being used in the video and screenshots provided for this track? Thanks in advance for any knowledgeable response. Happy Holidays to All, Richard

Version 1.1 has been released. I went through most of the textures I remade them, usually using something from cgtextures as a base. I was surprised at how similar the replacements looked. As a result, there is very little ISI content now, so the track can now be converted to any other game.
Someone has just released a GTL version:

Someone there asked about converting to GTR2. I'm okay with that but if the game doesn't support texture blending, you should ask DerDumeklemmer if you can convert his GTL version instead (see the above link)

Thanks for finding my error. I've posted links for an updated version on the main page.
The update version includes just the required files. The full version includes everything.

Today my car was in a pitbox with a closed door so I could not drive! I have tested a couple times more but it happened only once. I saw some boxes are closed. Is this intended or a mistake?
It's a standard feature. I don't know how it works behind the scenes, but if the game puts you in the garage it should know to open the door. It's a simple system, so we'll have to hope it was just a glitch.
garage 08 is bugged, gmt naming problem? but yeah, you get a locked garage door for the 8th driver.
gravel trap Resistance is a bit extreme.
love the track, very nice flow, thanks for making it!

I,ve been away from computer access over the Holidays so am just getting to this track gem. What a great track you have developed. Provides a great look and feel while racing. One of the very best I have experienced. Thank You Soul for all of your time and effort.

One of the best tracks of 2011! A very authentic look and feel testing in a DRM Revisited BMW. Thanks for this contribution!

When I saw the track map, my first thought was "what happened to Silverstone?", but after racing it I found this is really a different gem.
Thank you!
