This is the famous Mont Ventoux hillclimb used in france. it is run in the french national championship "course de cote"
there are 2 versions
1st version is the route used today for course de cote, that is 10.050 km long, record held by Lionel Regal , 3:47.156
2nd version was meant to be the 21 km version, but i found out i did the 15 km version instead! this was used in 1976. only diffrence between this version and the long 21km version is the 21km version started further back in a town.
The nature of this track is pretty amazing, there are a few hairpins and extremly long high speed section, over blind crests requring no fear to drive through flat out. Currently the topspeed record is held by Bernard CHAMBEROD at 256.63 km/h

this track was made as a quick test within 5 days in BTB. so its abit rough and quikly made. but should follow the routes well. There are a few bugs, like collisions on objects, no pitlane, no grid positions ect. so its only you and the track for now.
if anyone is willing to help, like have a large photogallery/videos, or simply want to fix the track, contact me at pauly.pantel@gmail.com

Good work so far, very chellenging track, but
the track is WAY too wide! Look at some youtube vids and you will see that.

This is the best hillclimb in RFactor, its alot of fun with the historix cars, going all out till you get to the top is possible, and alot of fun. Please keep updating this track

The thing with timing mentioned happens only in practice mode. If you do a race with no opponent cars, it times correctly.
Nice effort to do such a vast course, especially with the space around the track, a couple of problems here and there, but good job.
Terrain on some sharp elevation changes needs slight smoothing, especially at slow chicanes, the yacco texture is mirror-written at the chalet, the snow poles should be a bit higher, about 10 feet, some terrain textures could sharpen up a bit and some holes filled with textures rather than solid colour would make it more immersive. For more attention to detail, stone altitude markers would do the trick.
Anyway it's enough of a blast for me as it is, keep up!

Man i'm addicted to this track. And i don't care about the timing problems. It's just so fun to drive around, just the feeling i get when i put on some good racing/driving music and just run it over and over again with 60x time speed and world just vanishes around. Shame i can't make it work with HGTTC for some reason, but man i love this track. The Ferrari 288 GTO, Legends cars or 1955 M-B F1 are practically perfect cars for this track, and drifting/touge driving with JDM Drift cars is just something great. I like it better than "the ring", what is too a really great track to drive.
But few things could do some fixing. Like the hairpins, that i feel are a bit too rough and "boxed". And in the corners up in the hills, the sticks don't reflect the drivinglights in dark. Something to fix this would be great.
But as far, it's one of the greatest tracks around already. When things are smoothed out, i'm sure it's gonna hit HOF.

Could you somehow get the timing to work? It's stupid when the laptime starts when you're up in the hill.. Of course you can hand time yourself, but ingame timing would be nice.
Also could you do fictional downhill versions? The track is quite scary when driving downhill..

Yes, GREAT news...even at this stage of development, it's one of the best tracks availble for Rfactor, in the pleasure dept...and the one i spent more time reacin (together with the Tourist version of the Nords)..so THANK you and good luck with the futur work!!
