This track uses very basic textures so do not hesitate to lower your DX level to get better FPS. Lowering shadows and detail levels will also help.

You must enter pit lane at the far opening. Watch the AI if you wonder which way to go.
The winners podium is drivable so feel free to enjoy your win.

COMMERCIAL OR PROMOTIONAL USE OF THIS TRACK WITHOUT PERMISSION IN WRITING IS PROHIBITED.

v1.1: added omni light to track for night/dusk racing. Fixed mapping on some track sections.
v1.2 fixed omni in parking lot
v1.5 fixed flickering on many billboards and tarps near fencing and removed a tree with a bad map. fixed cautionglow.
v2.0 improved shoreline drive camber, fixes some cams, adds 2nd set of cams, fixes some missing files. DELETE YOUR OLD HAT FILE!
v2.1 adds aiw fix for racing groove. 2.0 + aiw file = 2.1

AIW fix on our forum, until I can package up a complete build.

2009 add-on released: http://champcargame.com/f2/ind...opic=52.msg187#msg187 That black hole in the sky is caused by the camera setting not having a long enough clip plane. They should all be 1500 but one is 1000, change it and see if it helps.

Excellent mod. Looks very modern. But when I go to instant replay in the last turn hairpin, I get a big black spot in the background in the sky. Any reason why this should happen?

Sweeeettttttt...... I watched the practice online today and regretted it. I wanted to be there so badly. LB is always a great event.
by dradecki on 17-Apr-09

yep, took some pics today. More tomorrow. It would be an 09 version add-on, but not until I finish las vegas 07.
by Dougrun on 17-Apr-09

Any plans to update this track for 08/09 versions? I have also noticed heading down the end of the back straight the building in the distance appears to be leaning back a fair bit, but 'straightens up' when you see it again at the hairpin. Its very noticeable on replays

Good looking track. Nice updates to a modern look. However, not so stellar framerate performance. I have an ATI 4870HD and can normally get 150fps in rFactor with any mod, any track. With LGB 2.1, I can barely top at 35fps.... and that is with medium to high settings. And it's not necessarily a "smooth" 35fps. Hope this can be addressed in a future release.

doesnt matter what the file is named, if it says its 2.1, its 2.1. Just a different file name.
by Dougrun on 27-Mar-09

the file on the megaupload say LongBeach2007_201.rar and the new version is 2.1 Ok my question if the 2.01 and 2.1 is the same version?? little bit confuse??
by Gonzaga on 27-Mar-09

Thanks for the track and the update!
