Car Stereo plugin V1.0

Some people have been noticing that rFactor kills all the hotkeys for external applications. This meant that it was not possible to control a media player to have music in-game. This plugin is an answer to this shortcoming. It will make it possible to control Winamp from within the game.
This is an early version of this plugin, which means that several features have not yet been implemented. There might be bugs and impracticalities associated with it. Please let me know if you have found any bugs, if there's features you would like or if there's something you'd like to be changed, for example the exact hotkeys, or new hotkeys etc. Unfortunately the default Winamp hotkeys use the same keys that rFactor uses for changing view, so I had to map the hotkeys for controlling the plugin to other keys. It is unfortunately not possible to use this plugin to control Winamp from the in-game menus, you have to be on-track.
INSTALLATION

Unrar CarStereo.dll to your rFactor\Plugins\ directory.
USAGE
-----
Start up Winamp before starting rFactor. You will be able to control Winamp with the following hotkeys :
Play song : CTRL-ALT-Numpad 7
Pause playback : CTRL-ALT-Numpad 1
Stop playback : CTRL-ALT-Numpad 0
Previous track : CTRL-ALT-Numpad 9
Next track : CTRL-ALT-Numpad 3
Increase volume : CTRL-ALT-Numpad 8
Decrease volume : CTRL-ALT-Numpad 2
Fast forward 5 seconds : CTRL-ALT-Numpad 6
Fast rewind 5 seconds : CTRL-ALT-Numpad 4

Since I'm used to listen to music while I'm enjoying causal riding, and there's no way to control my Winamp, I come to search one and yes!! You're here!!
Really appreciate for developing the plug-in, cause I'm a regular Winamp user xD

I have the same problem as G-Man93, although i dont know my PC config. Its Xp =S if that helps. but yer, i have severe lagg =(

It's a great idea. But I am wondering about something? The media keys on my keyboard will still control my media player while playing rFactor. Do other people's media keys still work while in rFactor? Or is it due to the way my systems are configured? I run Synergy on my gaming machine.

Hi there G-Man93!
The only thing i can think of that could cause lag is the keypolling method i used. Its not very pretty. I did start writing a new version of Car Stereo that uses a different method of polling the keys, this might be the solution to your problem. Unfortunately I havent worked on that in a long time, and I've had a computer upgrade since then. I'd have to get the sources from my old HDD to be able to work on it. I'll try to do it if i get some time, but I cannot guarantee anything.

It be a great mod if I could actually use it... :/ I install winamp, and I put plugin in directory but I get SEVERE lag anytime I try and race! Any suggestions?
