Hi. Im getting strange AI sounds at Bathurst not car sounds. Can anyone help?
by Dony on 27-Jun-10

G'day, first off the bat I'd like to thank you guys for the emmense effort that goes into such a project. I am familiar with editing games and sharing my work with the sometimes seeming unappreciative public but positive feedback more than makes up for the minor negative responses. Job well done to all involved. I do however have a concern with the sand traps of the Bathurst track. I like realism but perhaps the Bathurst sand has been over done. It's worse than quick sand. Even just getting two wheels in it and it's race over regardless how long you try. The cars also stalled a lot and would take forever to restart. It put a bit of a damper on our Bathrst LAN party last October. We all had the same problems as we all shared the same mod download. I have just downloaded the stand-alone version 1.3 as I'm not sure which version my mate downloaded for the 2009 Bathurst LAN. Hopefully these issues have been addressed because it would be a shame after all that effort that obviously went into this mod. Please keep up the great work. V8s RULE!!!

Strange visual display of vegetation to the sides of the track. The trees have what appear to be "long vertical drip lines" from the tree's that drip or drop down to the ground or onto the track. It sort of puts you off a bit as you are screaming around the track and see these. Has anyone else experienced this strange issue? My computer specs are:- Intel Core i5 2.66GHz O/C to 3.40GHz XFX Black Edition ATi 5850 1GB PCI-E graphics set to 1920x1080 32bit resolution Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit 8GB GSkill RipJaw memory Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD4 Intel P55 MOB WD 1TB HDD Corsair 750w Power Creative SB-Xfi Titanium sound card The rfactor config is set to DirectX 9 (I have DirectX 10), resolution is 1920x1080HD - 32bit. All display options in rfactor set to max and all other views of the track are great!! Only appears on this track and no others which is weird.

Thanks r0m0r but v1.1 is the old version. Just install the new full standalone version 1.3 if you don't have V8Factor v1.3 installed.
by krunch on 03-Jan-10

The link to the track http://rapidshare.com/files/66.../ORSM_Bathurst_1.1.rar doesn't work for me, but i found another link : http://www.mediafire.com/?9mfmmcxrtxx Good race !

***UPDATE*** We've now created a Full Standalone version of Bathurst v1.3 for those not wishing to install V8Factor. You'll find the download links above. No other version is needed. We hope to have all redundant links removed soon which will make it easier for people to find the current versions. Also I'd like to let you all know that we now have a new public forum where you will find help, support and news on all our activities: http://forum.racedepartment.com/team-orsm/. Hope to see you there .

@TheDon1441, the screenshot with the Biante signs is mine. I just did the sign boards to the best of my ability so as to not cause mismatches. This inherently will leave the track a little less then an accurate representation of the 2009 track. For example, the same wall textures from Hell corner are used at Skyline, Hell should be MTAA, Skyline should be Biante, but you can`t do that without having mismatches. You have to choose one or the other to be at both corners. Likewise I could not put Toll at the entry of the Cutting, and Tyrepower at the exit. There are many examples of that sort of compromise I had to make if I did not want the track to mismatch. Also, I grabbed signage from many sources (the only ones I actually created were Biante, DSG@Home for Murray's and the Armor All Bridge) so in no way can I publicly offer a download. It was also done before the 1.3 update (I am on vacation Dec 17th - Jan 7th and posting from a laptop) so I have yet to see how it works with the new versions, or if it can be improved.

Hi TheDon1441. Any signage updates to Bathurst other than 2005 and 2006 are not ours. If you do install any 'unofficial' updates be sure to check for online mismatches, in case something other than the sponsor signage has been changed. Krunch.
by krunch on 28-Dec-09

Hi team ! Just wondering where I can get the 2009 updated Bathurst track with the new sponsor signage around the circuit such as Biante Skyline and XXXX Gold Dipper. I see this in some of the photos. Thanks !
by TheDon1441 on 28-Dec-09

Hi Slider. The update reverts back to the original released version. You can run the Hiresz update back over the top. There was a few cars updated in the patch, so we will throw a Hires skin patch together later, but as you can understand, Family and Xmas are our priorities at this time of year. Stan.. Occasionally things get saved when we are updating, and no changes are made. This os one of those things. Mianiak. If the Daks don't have brown stains from over the top you aint pushing hard enuf. Glad you are enjoying it. Merry Xmas and have a safe and happy New Year Guys. ORSM will be back bigger and better in 2010.
