'not anger'! As ChrisJarram knows, numpad and numkeys are differnt beasts, but a plugin is the least of his complaints yelling on the other side from a fliptop pute.
This plugin is kickin, and I cant thank the creator enough. Winamps global hotkeys work in everything but rF. Maybe I wanna turn it down, or up ;>
It seems all the bitchers either wouldnt use it to begin with, cant afford a usb keypad ( >20bones ), or havnt a clue what post they are roaming in.
There's zero over head, only feature adding. Eat it! Love it! or STFU! |

@mclf1, Some people listen to music while driving for their own reasons. I listen to music because it makes me a better driver :) |

Any possibility of allowing the same binds to run something other than winamp? (XMplay!)

If people really want support for other media players i guess it would be possible to add, but I cant promise anything

Hi Im just wondering with the amount of lag issues on the net with rfactor
by virtualpainter on 08-Jun-08
Thats a good question, I must say I havent tried this online. I dont really like having music in the background when I'm driving, I just wrote this plugin cause I was bored and somebody had noticed that the winamp global hotkeys didnt work, so I thought i'd have a go at it. It would surprise me though if it had a significant effect on lag. There's a very small performance hit when i run it on my current, stone age computer (amd 2200+ cpu, very old stuff), havent tried it on a modern computer, but I imagine the performance hit is almost non-existant on one of those computers.

Hi Im just wondering with the amount of lag issues on the net with rfactor and connections people have Im wondering if this isnt adding to those problems, and after reading I can now see why there are some lag issues in some servers but Im not blaming you Im just asking at what lenght did you test this in online servers and did it have any effect on game performance
look forward to your feedback in regards to this before I would go putting it on my pc |

Nice! About time, glad someone finally got around to doing it. Any possibility of allowing the same binds to run something other than winamp? (XMplay!) |

many people use media keyboard with keys that have "play, pause, next previous and volume keys"..which work well without plugin.
So i guess thanks for those that haven't it. also congrats for making a plugin ;) |
